Parliament finally got fed up and told the King they were going to refuse to implement new taxes so the King being King imposed the taxes anyway, but called it a “Forced Loan.” Not much different from what we have today when Obama uses the power of Executive Order to go around Congress. But 7 Knights from the Kings court decided not to comply because they knew it was taxation without representation and not lawful.
