Innocent Until Proven Guilty

JC sits in for KrisAnne for the 3rd and last day. One of the basic premises of our judicial system is that all defendants are innocent until proven guilty. Defendants in a court of law don’t have to prove anything. The burden of proof totally relies on the shoulders of the prosecution, yet it would seem that many people have forgotten this basic concept and high profile trials such as the George Zimmerman trial make it painfully clear how widely ignorant many people are about this.
